Its chiseled collar with small oval shapes supports an openwork lid decorated with flowers, stars and foliage and crowned with a flower in bud in the central part. <\/p>\n<p>Due to the finesse of these carvings, the use of its \u201cmarvelelles\u201d and the beautiful original gilding, we can attribute this very beautiful work to Claude Galle.<\/p>\n<p>Claude Galle (1759-1815) is one of the most eminent bronziers-engravers of the end of the 18th century and the Empire period.<\/p>\n<div data-cke-filler-webkit=\"end\" data-cke-temp=\"1\" style=\"width: 0px;height: 0px;padding: 0px;border: 0px;margin: 0px;position: absolute;top: 0px;left: -9999px;overflow: hidden\">\u00a0<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Dimensions : <\/strong>H<strong> <\/strong>27,5 cm x D 14,5 cm<\/p>\n<p>Tr\u00e8s caract\u00e9ristique de ses bougeoirs aux merveilleuses, style pour lequel Claude Galle est bien connu, ces br\u00fbles parfums sont soutenu par trois cariatides formant colonne rectangulaire et reli\u00e9es entre elles par de fines tiges en bronze dor\u00e9 formant un X. <\/p>\n<p>Leurs pieds nus reposent sur une base triangulaire \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9s incurv\u00e9s et angles coup\u00e9s, elle-m\u00eame pos\u00e9e sur un socle circulaire. <br \/>Au centre, se tient un palmier de feuillages en colonne supportant une bob\u00e8che figur\u00e9e de feuilles arqu\u00e9es et surmont\u00e9e d\u2019un binet finement cisel\u00e9 de formes g\u00e9om\u00e9triques. <br \/>Une pi\u00e8ce cylindrique se place au sommet du binet r\u00e9duisant ainsi la sortie de chauffe. <\/p>\n<p>Les t\u00eates en colonne, finement cisel\u00e9es, sont orn\u00e9es de part et d\u2019autre d\u2019ailerettes tenant une large coupe \u00e0 encens.
