Originaire de Florence, la famille Castrucci travaillait dans les ateliers de Ferdinand Ier de M\u00e9dicis\u00a0<\/span>(r.1587-1609), grand-duc de Toscane, <\/span><\/p>\n

dans lesquels l’Empereur envoyait ses pierres les plus extraordinaires <\/span>afin qu\u2019elles soient incorpor\u00e9es dans de somptueuses cr\u00e9ations. Passionn\u00e9 de pierres pr\u00e9cieuses auxquelles il reconnaissait des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s physiques et surnaturelles, l’Empereur invita la famille Castrucci \u00e0 venir s’installer \u00e0 Prague pour y cr\u00e9er ses ateliers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Originally from Florence, the Castrucci family worked in the workshops of Ferdinando I de Medici\u00a0<\/span>(r.1587-1609), Grand Duke of Tuscany.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Emperor Rudolf II (1552-1612), Prince of the House of Habsburg, King of Bohemia and Emperor of the Romans, who sent his most extraordinary stones in Florence to be incorporated into sumptuous creations, invited <\/span>Cosimo Castrucci and his family to come and settle in Prague to create the imperial workshop of stonemasons there. <\/span><\/p>\n

This object testifies to their virtuosity in this art then in full apogee.<\/span><\/p>\n
