The Sorbonne Art Market Master's Association (AMMA) brings together the successive cohorts of the Master 2 in Art Market (Professional Track) at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, fostering both lasting friendships and valuable professional connections among its members.
Founded in 2012, AMMA Sorbonne was established to promote this graduate programme, which specializes in careers in the art market.
Each year, the association organizes the Paris 1 Contemporary Art Prize, through which a selection of artists presents their work in a public group exhibition. Conceived by young people for young people, the Prize celebrates contemporary artistic creation while supporting emerging talents on the French art scene.
Paris 1 Contemporary Art Prize
Looking Back at the Tenth Edition
This year, fifteen artists were selected on the basis of the quality and originality of their work. Their artworks were exhibited from 20 to 21 February 2026 at the Bastille Design Center, the Prize's historic venue. The exhibition concluded with an awards ceremony, during which three prizes were presented. The growing enthusiasm surrounding the event reflects the Prize's steadily increasing reputation, further enhancing the visibility of both its laureates and the Master's programme. For this tenth edition, AMMA placed particular emphasis on strengthening its communications strategy, both online and in print. This included the call for applications, fundraising campaign, and promotional content highlighting the selected artists and members of the jury.
