The 1831 Art Gallery is above all a place of exchange around a passion, a meeting place for artists, art lovers and collectors. We present French and foreign artists, young and sometimes unknown, older and sometimes famous, painters, sculptors, photographers, poets… People who touched us and have just something to say or show.

Through their artwork, we present 7 artists that are telling stories: Amel Bashier, a Sudanese painter (who lives and works in Egypt); Ali Zülfikar, a Turkish portrait painter (who lives and works in Germany); Aude Hérlédan, painter and sculptor; Harald Fernagu, sculptor, Dorothée Loriquet, sculptor, Pedro Correa, Spanish photographer (who lives and works in Belgium), and Séverinne Duparcq, ceramist and sculptor.
It is that rich cultural heritage that we encourage you to discover, starting from the 6th December.
The 6th December will also be the launch of the first edition of the Carré Littéraire, organized alongside the ‘Matinées de la Littérature’, 60 galleries, 60 authors, 60 dedicated books, and many animations surrounding literature in the whole of the Carré Rive Gauche.
In this context, we are delighted to have Charles Pépin amongst us, who will present “Quand la beauté nous sauve” (when beauty saves us), and “La joie” (joy).
